Over a cuppa Milo

Here am I wondering why must the same issues of life attacking over and over again?
Have I not prayed enough?
Am I lack of determination?
When will these issues stop hunting me?

I shall keep my desires flowing til the day I'm out of this country and stop all these nonsense.

By the way, I had my hand check up on my wrist last week on the 17th instead of 14th as planned. Nevermind with the changed of dates as it was still within the recovery period. The doctor was happy with my recovery as I have been seriously wearing my wrist brace in whatever I do, especially when I have to buckle up my bra, which I can't do it at all without wearing my wrist brace.
Next up will be another check up 2 weeks later and then physio! Can't wait to get back to my normal self!

Retarded right wrist

I injured my right wrist. Of all areas, why my RIGHT WRIST!

Omygoodnesssssssssssssss!

I seriously do not know exactly on how it was injured as it isn't the first time but it has the worst pain this time. The same problem happened about every 4 months once previously but the pain would go off after 3 or 4 days.

I started restricting my right wrist movement on 21st by putting on a cardboard splint on my own.

Wrapped the bandage on my own with thick cardboard like this.

 

Then I was on MC on the day where I could not take the pain on 22nd where I can't even flex my wrist upwards or downwards and the sharp pain was horrifying and I was referred to see the Orthopedist on 23rd. At first, the Orthopedist diagnosed me as having Tendonitis due to the symptoms and was given another 3days MC until 25th and TCA on 26th. He readjusted my splint in a 'wrist resting' position.

However, the pain did not go away although I can flex my hand slightly more without sharp pain later on. I was asked to do a MRI on the 26th and I agreed. It was another horrible experience to keep the hand stagnant laying in the bullet shaped tunnel. My right arm literally froze in the freezing room and I could feel the sharp pain again. Was so relieved when the procedure was done after 35minutes! The next day, the MRI reported that I am having a condition called Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex injury where there is a tear on the foveal ligament.  Even the MRI wrist report won't tell when it was hurt.

Finally I was referred to see a proper hand surgeon and was given a proper wrist brace to strictly immobilize my wrist for another 3 weeks til another follow up on 14th April.

 

Grateful for this wrist brace as I can move my fingers more now.

 

February!

So I left my blog before my first half marathon of the year. The run was a fabulous run where I had a breakthrough unknowingly for my first best 5km which only took me 5mins/km! I wonder what inspired me to maintain that speed at that particular moment. And the best part is the whole run only took 2hours and 45minutes! I even had a quick toilet break at 16th km which is kinda weird but yeah.

 

I was down with fever again earlier in FEB. Kinda fed up with my immune system as it is down almost monthly or every 2months. I hope that will be the last one for this year and no more sickness!

 

That was me with my precious medal, representing another achievement.

What have I done in 2013?

Awake at 0420hrs. Sneezing. Sore throat. Glad that this is the first horrible sore throat of the year. Not well. Can't take mc. No staffs. Too many patients. I'm not dying, so no mc for me. Must work. Yay.

Now that I finished my breakfast, had soft boiled egg with 1 piece of wholemeal bread, looking at the clock tik-tok-ing, my mind triggered me to post something here.

It has been a smooth year besides extra hospital visits with my sister and all of the hiccups in my department since Hari Raya in August.

Aiming to achieve 2 more goals before the year ends.
-Secure a medical insurance plan
-Register for my degree course.

Next question would be when am I gonna be able to really submit myself in what I am called to do?

1st post on 1st Sunday of 2013

1 week has passed.
Let's have a lil recap on what I've done in the past 1st week of 2013..

1/1 - I went for the 1st jogging of the year with beloved bestie in the morning!! *Proud* =p
- Packed the famous Chicken Rice + Char Siew + Siew Yuk for lunch with the special one before my noon shift. Was quite furious to know that this PH on 1st Jan is not a mandatory payment day which means I won't get the PH bonus pay but a replacement holiday (RH) later on... I figured I MUST at least go for NYE countdown on 31/12 (before I get older, though I used to sepnd NYE at Bukit Bintang with family when I was in secondary school) and enjoy off of New Year day =)

2/1 - On noon shift... 1st thing I heard from my 'sifu' after greeting her Happy New Year was 'do u know the 28yrs old Ms Goh passed away this morning at 0400hrs at your department??' Thoughts ran in my mind was, 'man, not deaths again on the 1st week on the new year?? it has been happening since the 1st year I stepped into my nursing journey where patients who are close friends pass away..'
- Went to pay my last respect to her at Nirvana Memorial Park at Sg Besi after my noon shift with the 'sifu'.

3/1 - Had my first morning shift of the year after not having it for at least 2 weeks before Christmas.
- Finally watched Life of Pi at night.

4/1 -Working noon shift again...
- Then started on working as an editor for a dear friend's thesis. I finally understand why people tend to be so stressed up during their finals, especially when they had to work on a thesis.

5/1 - Off day for the week! Tried out this awesome Malaysian French baker @Tommy Le Baker...

- Went to church this morning
- Had lunch with #w11cg
- Work - currently on noon shift -> 5 minutes CPR done on the PR with autonomic dysreflexia at 1630hrs.

What's my NYE???It has been more or less the same every year...such as... loving God more, spend more time with family, be a better person, earn more, work harder, travel to more places, save more and bla bla bla... But Ps Kevin has reminded me something important in service this morning : 2013 is gonna be all about FOCUS! =)

Besides thinking hard on this particular matter : To wear braces was a must last year... should I start studying again this year? Guess I should before I get older...

2010 was accomplished!

2010 was a blessing, a 'task' given to me in life and I've accomplished it. It has became a history. It wasn't an easy year, it wasn't extremely tough because problem faced will somehow solved by itself when God’s in the picture.

Major highlights of 2010:

- I've finally finished my Diploma In Nursing in Dec 2010.

- I've traveled up north and down south to Ipoh, when I needed to go to the Hospital Bahagia for my practicals, stayed there for 2 weeks.


- Then to Singapore, for the awesome Asia Conference at CHCSG.


- Went to Penang for the very 1st time, to surprise Kai Boon and celebrate his birthday.


- Went to Melaka for a night with Mum n Jon.

- Cut my hair SHORT as it is seen in the above picture.

- Then to Penang again with my high schoolmates to really explore Penang from 28th to 30th Dec, right before the year ends.


Btw, I'm becoming a Intensive Care Unit(ICU) nurse upon the start of my job which signifies new season of life ahead. My favourite department is still the Emergency Area as listed as my first choice of department which I wanted to be posted to. ICU as the 2nd choice and Oncology ward as the 3rd choice. Somehow I had been having a gut feeling telling me that I'll get to be in ICU since more or less 6 months ago. Believing that God will grow me in ICU.

3 main things to achieve in 2011:

- Get a car by June 2011.

- Trip to Kuching in July or August with besties.

- Hopefully I can make it to the trip to Redang with my fellow twitter buddies in August.

Looking back what I've been through in the past year, I believe I've grew up again. I need to be even more mature spiritually and mentally. That's the overall resolution.

Looking forward to a better 2011!

Life is so much more brighter when Jesus is in it =)

We were supposed to have 1 more week of practical before the revision classes but the lecturer pushed the revision classes forward.

Good news : I PASSED MY IN HOUSE EXAM!
An exam which is tougher than the real government nursing paper XD

It's Xmas season again.
But please don't expect any xmas gifts from me this year coz I'm really broke. I only have enough for my meals.

Hello again

It seems that this is not going to be an attractive post.
What a line to start my post. hahahahaha

Started my practicals again 2 weeks back.
I'll be officially trained to do Staff Nurses job.
Am placed in a Medical Surgical ward.

Will be going to my dream department next week, the Emergency Room!
But I'll be there for only 4 days. With 2 off days, 1 public holiday.
Thank God that I'm working on afternoon shifts for 3 days out of 4 days.
Which means, I can learn more in the noon shift as it'll be busier.

Am I no longer a passionate blogger?
Not too sure about it tho.
EXTRA TIME is all I need.
But I can still tell you that I'm a passionate Twitterer. LOL

Last Saturday and Sunday was a good weekend.

Of Asia Conference and random updates

It was supposed to be a free day for us today as classes are from 8am to 6pm this whole week BUT all of a sudden, we were told that we need to hand out an assignment by 4pm today.

I'm right now in the classroom with Bestie and Wan Ying, enjoying the aircond while trying our very best to finish up our assignments. I can really tell that it's very energy draining while rushing assignments in such a way.

In order to overcome the stress level, here am I multitasking, and blog while I can't access to Facebook and Twitter with the college's internet provided.

Remember how excited I was for Asia Conference in Singapore? I finally made it to step into the land of civilization. I tell you, the whole city is so clean, there are trains at every 3-4minutes, people queue everywhere, food is super tasty and etc. The environment and lifestyle is definitely 100% BETTER than KL. The last day of Asia Conference. My heart was so heavy to leave Singapore as I did not have enough of the whole Asia Conference and the country yet. Anyhow, I still have to go through the day and get home. The day began with packing, carried my luggages along to catch the train to keep the luggages in Crown Plaza Hotel at the airport. Had an usual morning 9am service.

Skipped the 2nd service of the day at 11am to catch the food fair which was going on at one of the halls at Expo. They had loads of interesting food stalls! Managed to buy some cheap Pocky sticks with all kinds of flavors back as souvenirs for my sistas and my niece.

The whole event was indeed an eye opening conference that I have attended throughout the years. There were great anointed pastors spoke for different sessions and many elective life challenging mini courses.

1 thing which I will never forget is what DR Cho said, 'Christianity without miracles is not Christianity at all'

Holla, new me?

HI bloggie and readers.
It's the last day of June today, which means, HALF a year had officially gone by.

I've been having my 2 weeks of semester break and I know I haven't been blogging.
It seemed that my EVERYDAY is packed with lots of things which I need to deal with at home. Eg, spend time with mum (she mumbles like mad when she doesn't see me around ><), practice guitar to improve myself as I really wanna see improvement in my guitar skills, do chores-wash clothes, iron clothes, clean my wardrobe, clean my table and throw away unnecessary rubbish which I stored up in my bookshelf. And you know what? After I've done with all the cleanings, it NEVER look clean! It seemed that I chucked in more rubbishes like receipts here and there on my table and then I'll have trouble looking for them to record them in my diary at the end of the day. Hey, that doesn't mean I'm not a hygiene or not a neat person ya. I am and being hygiene and neat is important to me. Just that maybe it's because HOME is just too comfortable for me. XD

I have a resolution to start reading Breaking Dawn and to book is left UNTOUCHED on my table >< Besides that, I'm out of the house at least twice a week on the weekdays to attend church meeting and cell group. And I'll be out again tomorrow to celebrate mum's birthday.

I've never hard this hair length before in my entire life and I decided to try this for a change. Thank God it looks good on me.

You have no idea how nervous I was when the hair stylist was chopping my hair. I should really him for cutting my hair so nicely. Of course I said TQ to him before I leave his Ego Hair Studio. XD
I think I'll make this hair salon as my regular hair place.

I missed the 1st one in 2007 as it was held during my finals. Even this year, it is during my finals too but praise God, I can still attend it on the weekends.

My exam has officially ended minutes ago.
Had OSCE = Objective Structured Clinical Examination today.
I have to admit that I was really nervous every time I sit for my OSCE because the lecturers are super strict on their markings and we have to be very careful on the procedure's steps. What we learn in class and what we practice in the hospital is often different and it always cause confusion when it comes to exam. Anyways, I did my part and I did my best. I believe that I won't fail any of them. *fingers crossed*

The whole month of MAY seemed to be quite tragical for me. It felt like I was put into a major test, a test on my patience and my feelings. I don't feel good almost the 1st half of the month until I have to really deal with my feelings to settle my mind and focus on my exams.
Part of the biggest event that happened was there were 2 guys going after me at the same time and 3rd one came after I decided to be just be friends with the all of them. To me, it felt really scary when things like that happened.

I wrote this in xanga few days back

After all of the chit chat sessions I had with my darling besties, I realised that I don't have the ability to love and care for a BGR anymore.
It is true.
And I had enough of it.
I need a longer break.

That's how I feel right now and I am NOT in a hurry to get into a relationship.
I guess I made myself clear enough.
Or perhaps the guys just couldn't gain my trust and confidence or failed to lure my heart? hahas.
Enough of stories bout guys. Enough of heartbreaks.

Today = Day off day XD

I woke up at 0600 on my off day to follow dad out to Pusat Bandar Damansara to renew my passport.
Thank God for an off day on a weekday. If not, I really won't have the chance to renew my passport!

Took my 'lucky number' at 8am and waited til 12pm for my turn to submit the form! Then waited for another 30minutes to do the payment and headed off for lunch after that.
Went McD with mum and chilled at Starbucks after that as I can only collect my passport estimated-ly at 3pm and I was correct bout it.

CNY holiday has came to an end and practical starting on Monday til mid May.
Will be going to Tun Hussein Onn eye hospital for orientation on Monday, back to SDMC for 1 week at postnatal ward(no likey) then will head off to Ipoh for practical at Hospital Bahagia Tanjung Rambutan for 2 weeks. And will be back in KL after that.
So many things to look forward to, so many good things coming up.
I don't know what else to say.
God is good.
CNY is good.
Angpaus good too XD

Still enduring and anticipating the future as the future is in my hands.

January had been a very fruitful month.
Been attending leaders meeting every Tuesdays and I'm loving it!
Been super busy with assignments which doesn't affect me much as I think I'm good on time management though I can be super tired at times. Hahas!

Some thoughts which I would like to share here is that no matter what you're going through or in whatever bad situations in life, KEEP PRAYING! And keep in mind that God is LOVE. He will NEVER LEAVE YOU or FORSAKE YOU.

My heart is broken for the people in Haiti. I heart longs to join the City Care team to be there to save those who are suffering there.
My heart breaks listening about Cassandra's fiance who's in hospital for more than a month and the doctors still can't figure out what kind of disease which Raymond is suffering with.

I feel bad that I can't help her out. But I know all I can do is just to give her emotional support and to pray. God is always there to listen and HIS TIMING is always right.

On a happier note, CNY is around the corner. I'm excited but not as excited as when Christmas was near. I can happily really tell that I can't wait for Christmas already. The whole month of January came and went away real fast. Sooner or later, December will come by.

Went shopping with Mum last Sunday to my fave shopping mall. Managed to grab something from Cotton On and I prefer Cotton On than Forever 21 now.

I'm learning to live everyday more productively, learning to prevent myself from slacking, learning to be a good influence to people around me. I know it's not gonna be easy because I am feeling sleepy already now. Still trying my best to adjust my biological clock to not take nap in the evening so that I'll be sleepy by 12am and get 7 hours of sleep to wake up at 7am for class at 8am and not to be sleepy in class. Been doing quite well on that but I know I can do better.

New Year Resolutions

It's more or less the same as last years'.
I doubt I written them here last year.
Oh wells, let's see what resolutions I have this year.

3 main things which I'll want to achieve:-
#1 - Closer relationship with family members.
It's not that we are not close to each other right now but, things can be better.
#2 - Financial freedom in the family
Where finances will be stable with nothing more and nothing lack.
#3- To have a long lasting relationship with the BF :)
I don't have to explain this, do I? =p

Have I forgotten my spiritual life which is the utmost priority?
Of course not!
God has done so many great things in my life!
He had been faithful all the while even when I did not look to Him.
He never failed to lift me up when I'm at the worst condition.
He always brightens up my life and never forsaken me.
He never fails to provide, never fails to heal and never fails to love.
I'm really thankful to have Him to guide me through in this life which He had given me.
Challenging myself to another level of my walk with Him.
All glory to God! <3

What else do I wanna achieve?
-More WISDOM on reaching out!!!
-My very own i-d-e-a-l WEIGHT!!!
-Great results in studies. More improvement, targetting at least 2A's this semester and with CGPA of 3.3
-To be able to save up the precious $$$ at least X amount by May 2010 for Asia Conference and triple of X amount by end of the year so that I can have a car next year! *fingers crossed*
-Strictly, no shopping on clothes unless it's birthday/christmas
-A Coach wallet XD
-More MAC make up products
-Read more books (novels, motivational books etc)

Basically that's all in my mind for my time being.
Not planning for any trips besides Singapore.
See, I'm not greedy. kekekeke.
But there were lots of hints up there.. i know... hahas
