If you are to plan for a surgery(regardless what kind of surgery) for your mother, PLEASE discuss with the respective people who are supposed to take care of your mother FIRST, and not simply deciding a date for the surgery without knowing the circumstances after the surgery.
And please don't simply jump into unplanned conclusion.
Don't ever think that surgeries have no risks.
